Assassin’s Creed III’s Twitter Has Gone Cryptic

Trailers and short gameplay walkthroughs can get old fast so if you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan dying for some fresh AC3 goings-on then listen up. The official Twitter account for the third major game in the series recently went all cryptic on followers and fans with a series of tweets that were somewhat out of the norm…

Now us fellow assassins will immediately recognise what these are in reference to, but for those that don’t then either play the first few games or do some hard research and catch up! No spoilers here people!

This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has gone a bit mad with their marketing strategies. Fans of the in-between games, like Brotherhood, will remember the same thing happening but with multiple related Twitter accounts disrupting the information gathered from their tie-in game that was live on Facebook back in 2010.

Ubisoft certainly know how to reach people with the whole social media thing that’s for sure, but will it work? What are you looking forward to seeing in Assassin’s Creed III?

The hype is starting and rightly so.

The game will release October 30th for US PS3 and 360 users and the next day for those in Europe with the Wii U version still without a date. PC players may have to wait until further in the year to get their hands on a copy as well.
